LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Helping organizational leaders successfully implement change, mange transitions, and meet strategic goals. There is nothing permanent except change, as Heraclitus observed 2,500 years ago, yet in all that time many organizations still haven’t come to grips with the need for change, or acquired the tools for transforming change from something to be feared and avoided into growth and sustainability. In addition to teaching leaders a practical way to incorporate change into their strategic goals and to prepare employees for new operational paradigms, ICG shows how the change process begins with individual mangers, and how senior management’s receptivity to change becomes a model for the entire organization. “There are two ways of exerting one’s strength,” Booker T. Washington said, “—one is pushing down, the other is pulling up.” Through exercises and examples, ICG demonstrates how good leadership is indeed primarily about inspiring and uplifting others, not placing constraints on them.
